A Day at the Durham Museum...and surrounding area. September 22, 2012

Zach in front of the Durham Museum.

The Durham Museum housed in the old Omaha Union Station.

It houses exhibits of old train cars.

 Street cars.

 And steam engines...

Other exhibits give a history of the region.

Zach trying to crack an old safe.

Just wanted to show the size of this exhibit.

Sitting inside one of the passenger train cars.

 Pretty fancy.

This is a floor map of the city of Omaha and surrounding areas.

Here is Creighton University's location right where there is a repair in the floor.

Zach is standing above "Oakdale" where he goes to school.

This is the main entrance, with an authentic old soda fountain at the end (Zach and I had a sundae).

I love this photo!  Zach copying a statue of a soldier waiting at the train station.   Love the huge flag in the background.

The main entrance, it is being set up for a wedding, which they have a lot here.

Heartland of America Park downtown Omaha.

You can faintly see the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge which crosses over to Iowa.

National Forest Service Regional Office Building.

Later that night Molly decided she wanted to not only sit with Zach but "on" him.  It was funny.  She had been home all day alone, maybe she needed some cuddle time.
