October 19-20, 2012 - Scout Camp Out at Walnut Creek

 Zach joined the Scouts to fulfill his last Webelos requirement.  

Our tent was the orange one on the left.

 We roasted hotdogs on the campfire, another one of his final requirements.

 It was a cold evening but the campfire kept us warm.

 We also made s'mores which were delicious!

 These scouts had a neat opportunity to retire some old flags.  

Only the military and scouts have this privilege.  

 After a neat address about our country's flag, by the scout leader, 12 flags were retired. 

 Early Saturday morning...a mist surrounds us.  

Zach and I had to get up early for his soccer game and this was what we saw.

 

It got so cold that our tent had a sheet of ice on it.

 

 Such a beautiful sunrise...

 There was a flock of Canadian geese just taking off from this pond...

 The fall colors became more evident...
